Job summary

Oklahoma City University’s School of Law invites applications for part-time temporary adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Positions are flexible and based on teaching needs throughout the academic year, with daytime and some evening hours. Remote instruction may be available, though most classes occur on campus at 800 N.

Harvey Ave. Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor, be admitted to the bar, and maintain good standing in jurisdictions of practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Admission to the bar of a US state or the District of Columbia.
• Good standing in jurisdictions where admitted to practice law.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
• Design and teach courses per established descriptions and guidelines.
• Select texts and create supplementary materials.
• Prepare and disseminate compliant syllabi for each course.
• Hold office hours outside of class and be reachable by email/phone.
• Share proctoring duties for examinations.
• Grade examinations and papers per grading policies.
• Submit grades by deadlines.
• Conduct post-exam conferences with students.
