Job summary

Oklahoma City University’s School of Law seeks part-time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Adjuncts will work with faculty chairs and may teach daytime or evening classes, with some remote delivery possible.

Selected candidates must provide CV and transcripts and complete onboarding steps. Applicants should hold a Juris Doctor, be admitted to the bar, and remain in good standing in relevant jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree is required.
• Admission to the bar in a US state or DC is required.
• Good standing in all jurisdictions where admitted to practice law.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
• Design and teach courses per established descriptions and guidelines.
• Select texts and create supplementary materials.
• Prepare and publish syllabi meeting accrediting standards.
• Hold office hours and be accessible to students.
• Participate in proctoring duties for examinations.
• Grade examinations and papers per policies.
• Submit grades by deadlines.
• Conduct post-exam conferences with students.
