Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a part‑time Assistant II for the Language Lab to assist multiple students and supervise two computer labs. The role reports to the Division Operations Manager and a Department Chair.

The position emphasizes reliability, accuracy, and strong customer service in a campus setting across Texas. Responsibilities include monitoring lab time, maintaining supplies, and enforcing lab rules, while supporting a student‑centered learning environment with the help of technology

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Have taken and passed college level Freshman English courses or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and assists students with the lab requirement of their class.
• Responsible for monitoring and signing‑off on students' lab time.
• Assists with monitoring and tracking lab supplies (workbooks, printer toner, and paper supply).
• Uphold students' reasonable understanding of proper lab conduct.
• Operates a variety of office equipment, including but not limited to computer(s), printer, copier, and laminator.
• Responsible for other related duties as assigned.
