Job summary

Eagleville Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Training Coordinator to coordinate laboratory services and train Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist and other lab personnel.

This role maintains quality control records, supervises equipment and supplies, performs phlebotomies, and supports the Director of Nursing with special projects while ensuring accurate testing and record keeping.

Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience training Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist or lab personnel.
• Familiarity with quality control records and documentation.
• Knowledge of lab testing, EKGs, and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Trains Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist and/or other Lab personnel.
• Maintains quality control records and documentation.
• Maintains Lab equipment and supplies to ensure proper performance.
• Performs special projects as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
• Performs phlebotomies.
• Reports infectious disease as required to Health Services manager.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Trains all Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist and/or other Lab personnel.
• Maintains all records relating to quality control i.e. standards and controls.
• Maintains Lab equipment and supplies to insure accurate/proper performance.
• Special projects as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
• Performs phlebotomies.
• Knowledge of all lab testing, EKG’s, and record keeping.
• Reports any infectious disease as listed by the Department of Health to the Health Services manager.

Other Duties And Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned.
• Comply with current hospital safety and infection control policies.
• Attends recommended committee meetings.
• Special projects as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
