The Lasky Lab at Penn State is looking for part-time Laboratory Assistants to aid in research on plant genetics and climate responses. Candidates will engage in lab setups, data collection, and maintaining experiments, ideal for current Penn State undergraduates with a passion for horticulture and environmental studies.

The Lasky Lab, in the Department of Biology, currently has openings for part-time Laboratory Assistants for the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful candidates will assist in research on the genetics of plant responses to climate. Preference will be given to full-time registered Penn State undergraduate students.
Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining experiments in the lab, greenhouses, and field. Additional duties include collecting information from digitized historical plant specimens, processing plant material and growing media, and organizing lab supplies. These positions require great attention to detail. Interest in horticulture, geography, or environment is beneficial.
