Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA is seeking a Lab/Research Technician 1 to join the Translational Lung Cancer Research Group within the Department of Internal Medicine. You will perform bench experiments, support cell culture, and assist in data analysis under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in biology, chemistry or related field.
• Experience with human cell lines and transfections is preferred.
• Strong data entry and Excel analysis skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform experiments and assist with reports.
• Maintain cell culture and perform molecular biology techniques.
• Maintain notebooks and follow safety protocols.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and stock solutions.
• Support regulatory compliance and lab training needs.
• Conduct daily bench work and handle instrumentation.
