Job summary

Trucent, Inc. in Van Wert, OH, is seeking a Part-Time Lab Technician to support our Renewable Chemicals lab. You will operate lab equipment, perform wet chemistry and QC testing, maintain sample databases, and prepare analysis reports.

The role requires at least 1 year of lab experience and a chemistry-related bachelor's degree; candidates with a chemistry background are preferred. This on-site position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic arithmetic and data analysis.
• Ability to use Word and Excel for reports.

Responsibilities

• Complete Certificate of Analysis documents on finished products.

• Properly dispose of chemicals and laboratory waste.
• Communicate regularly with team members and group leaders regarding sample data.
• Comply with all aspects of laboratory safety and the Trucent safety program, including hazard communication, PPE requirements, and safety training.

Trucent Renewable Chemicals, a division of Trucent, is looking for a Part‑Time Lab Technician to join our team at our Renewable Chemical production facility in Van Wert, OH. This position would directly assist our Lab Technician.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree with a background in Chemistry is a plus.

Requires a minimum of 1-year laboratory experience performing wet chemistry techniques to gain sufficient skill to perform the requirements of the position.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Perform the basic functions of arithmetic and algebra; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measurement; compute ratio, rate and percent; calculate variables and formulas.
• Perform basic written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in use of laboratory instruments.
• Basic computer & software skills.
• Requires a well‑organised individual with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
