Job summary

The position is budgeted for 20 hours/week, with potential to move to 30 hours for a highly qualified candidate. Most work is in person with some remote tasks possible.

Qualifications

• BA, BS, or equivalent degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using digital tools to track detailed or technical content.
• Prior lab experience or administrative experience preferred.
• Ability to manage procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Willingness to train new lab members.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing, receiving, and shipping for the lab.
• Maintain lab supplies inventory and procurements planning.
• Organize shared supplies and equipment.
• Maintain software licenses and service contracts.
• Coordinate billing with the institutional finance office.
• Manage vendor communications and quotes.
• Make strategic procurement decisions from preferred vendors.
• Process reimbursements.
• Oversee lab digital tools (Google Calendars, Sheets, Slack, GitHub).
• Update lab Wiki with policies and procedures.
• Handle regulatory compliance and permits.
• Track asset inventory.
• Train new lab members on lab workflows.
