St. Louis Community College is seeking a team-oriented staff member to assist in delivering support services for students and faculty and to help manage learning programs.

The role includes training on student records, direct student assistance, and supervision of student workers in the department. The position involves maintaining equipment, supporting policy communication, and participating in maker space activities such as photography, 3D printing, and prepress tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent and over one (1) year of relevant full-time experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in designing, delivering, evaluating and improving services to students and faculty.
• Supports learning programs through student and staff services.
• Conducts training sessions for student records.
• Works with students individually to improve study skills.
• Administers tests and reports scores to students.
• Keeps inventory of supplies and equipment and places orders as needed.
• Checks equipment for repair needs and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Informs students of college and department policies and procedures; shares job openings.
• Helps students with problems and makes referrals as appropriate.
• Supervises student employees in the department.
• May attend meetings, serve on departmental committees, and/or attend workshops.
• Operates instructional equipment; Center for Visual Technology & Maker Space activities: photography, printing, framing prepress, 3D printing and scanning.
