Job summary

Jackson Creek Senior Living in Omaha, NE is seeking a part-time dishwasher for evenings, 4pm to 8pm, Monday through Friday. You will operate the dishwasher, ensure proper sanitation of kitchenware, hand wash items not suitable for the machine, and help keep the kitchen tidy.

You will assist kitchen staff, interact with residents, and help maintain a clean, safe dining and kitchen area. Must be 16+ and able to read/write English; on-the-job training provided; benefits listed in the job posting.

Qualifications

• Must be age 16 or older.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher and ensure proper sanitation of kitchenware including dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and trays.
• Hand wash kitchen items not suitable for the dishwasher.
• Store items in their proper spot and maintain a tidy and organized kitchen.
• Notify manager if dish machine malfunctions or requires maintenance.
• Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep, item restock, or delivery of clean items when needed.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction.
• Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating, as requested.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment as required by local and state health departments.
• Perform routine preventative cleaning on dish machine according to schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.
