Qualifications

• High school education is preferred; some high school is required.
• Experience in a restaurant or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow safety rules.
• Basic computer use including email and internet is expected.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and pass a food handler program.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, flatware, glassware, and kitchen pots, pans and utensils.
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes; carries them to storage or cooking area.
• Operates dishwashing machines safely as per manufacturer specs.
• Uses correct amounts of detergent and sanitizer in dish machines.
• Handles tableware and glassware to prevent breakage.
• Empties kitchen trash regularly.
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and dish areas including floors.
• Performs shift opening/closing duties including cleaning mats and mopping.
• Assists with food preparation as needed.
• Follows safety and sanitation policies; performs other duties as assigned.
