Job summary

Heinen’s, Inc. is seeking a part-time Kitchen Associate in Brecksville, OH. You will prepare foods, follow approved procedures, and maintain quality throughout your shift.

Responsibilities include prioritizing daily work, washing and cutting produce, following safety standards, and collaborating with team members to meet daily goals. A flexible schedule including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.
• Must have a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Production driven with the ability to work continuously on repetitive tasks while standing.
• Must be able to frequent lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50 degrees.
• Willing to work required hours including weekends.
• Willing to work the non-traditional five-day schedule, including Saturday, Sunday and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Prepare a variety of foods, such as sandwiches, wraps, trays, according to customers’ orders following approved procedures.
• Wash, peel, and cut various foods to prepare for cooking or serving.
• Follow Heinen’s paning, packaging, and merchandising standards.
• Acquire and share knowledge of Kitchen Department.
• Monitor and maintain all food handling and temperature standards.
• Responsible for writing orders using effective pars and planning.
• Work as a team to complete daily tasks, including scanning and recording shrink, order writing, stocking, rotating and merchandising.
• Attend required corporate meetings, vendor calls, and training classes.
