Job summary

Oak View Group's EVENTS BY RHC in New York City is seeking a part-time Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. You will help keep dishes clean, support kitchen operations, and maintain sanitation standards.

The role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$20.00 with benefits for part-time roles including a 401(k) savings plan and matching. Flexible shifts, including Sundays, are required to support busy event schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of some work experience in a kitchen or service setting preferred.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods and lift 30 pounds.
• Compliance with all food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes by hand or in dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays and maintains sanitation.
• Keep work area clean and tidy; follow health and safety guidelines.
• Sort and stack clean dishes and transport to storage.
• Assist in kitchen areas as needed.
• Maintain proper temperatures and chemical levels as required.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors for safety and sanitation.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and dispose of it per designated areas.
• Move supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
