HOODZ of the Lowcountry and Coastal Georgia is seeking part-time kitchen exhaust cleaning technicians in Savannah, GA. Start with paid training at $20/hr, then progress to production-based pay per completed job.

The role is evenings/nights, with 2–3 shifts weekly and flexible scheduling. You will climb rooftops, work in tight spaces, and maintain safety standards in commercial kitchens.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and working on rooftops.
  • U.S. work authorization.
  • Available for 2–3 overnight shifts per week, with a schedule provided two weeks in advance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute kitchen exhaust cleaning to HOODZ standards at night.
  • Follow NFPA96 safety protocols and use harnesses, gloves, goggles, and lockouts as required.
  • Assist with truck setup, equipment handling, and teardown after each job.
  • Complete all job documentation: before/after photos, job reports, and timesheets.

We'rebuildingabenchofpart-timeovernighttechnicians—startingatjust2–3nightsperweek.Thisisagreatfitifyoualreadyworkinroofing,HVAC,firesuppression,painting,pipefitting,oranotherhands-ontradeandwanttoaddsolidsupplementalincomewithoutgivingupyourdayjob.You'llgetpaidtraining,company-providedequipment,andproductionpay.

HOW SCHEDULING WORKS

Youknowyourprimaryjob'sschedule,soyougiveusyouravailablenightstwoweeksinadvance,andwebuildtheschedulearoundyou.Theworkhappensafterthekitchensclose.Becausemostrestaurantsclosearound8pmor9pm,ashiftcanstartasearlyas6pmonsomenightsandlateronothers,withlongerjobsrunningintotheearlymorning.Startandendtimesvarynighttonightdependingonthejob—ashiftisonlyaslongastheworktakes,notafixedblock.Somejobscanalsobecompletedduringtheday.

PAY

Training(first2–4weeks):$20/hrflatrate.Paidwhileyoulearn.Norisktoyou.ProducingTechnician:You'repaidapercentageofeachjob'srevenue—notafixedhourlywage.Inpractice,thathasworkedouttoroughly$20–$25/hrforentry-leveltechsand$25–$35/hr(ormore)forexperiencedtechs,dependingonthejob.Themoreskilledandefficientyouare,themoreyouearn.Youreffortcontrolsyourincome.Theproductionmodelrewardspeoplewhoworkhardandworksmart.Itdoesnotrewardpeoplewhowanttoclockinandcoast.

Compensation:

$20 - $35 hourly

  • ExecutekitchenexhaustcleaningjobstoHOODZstandards,completingassignedjobspershiftefficientlyandthoroughly.
