Hoodz of Kansas City is hiring for a hands-on position to inspect and clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems. The role requires night shifts, from Sunday through Thursday, with starting pay between $17.50 and $20 per hour depending on experience and reliability.
We offer competitive performance bonuses, free training, and a clear career path. Our ideal candidate will take pride in their work, have a valid driver’s license, and be comfortable with physical tasks. Join us in making restaurants safer!
HOODZ of Kansas City is the local franchise of North America's largest and most recognized commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning company — with over 50 years in the industry and nearly 1,000 active accounts across Kansas City and surrounding areas. We clean the exhaust hoods, ductwork, and rooftop fans that keep restaurants safe and compliant.
You and your crew will roll out each night after restaurants close and get to work inspecting and cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems from top to bottom — hood, filters, ductwork, and rooftop fans — using professional‑grade pressure washing equipment and cleaning techniques. No two nights are exactly the same. You’ll be moving, climbing, pressure washing, and leaving every location cleaner and safer than you found it.
We pay you to get better. Our monthly performance bonus plan rewards quality work, professional behavior, and going above and beyond — not just clocking in.
We invest in your skills. You’ll receive hands‑on training from experienced techs and earn industry certifications.
We run a tight, respected operation. Our crews are known in the KC restaurant community. When you wear a HOODZ shirt, it means something.
The work matters. Grease buildup is the #1 cause of commercial kitchen fires in the U.S. The job you’ll be doing is genuinely important — restaurants, their staff, and their customers are safer because of what you do.
No experience in hood cleaning required. Previous experience in construction, maintenance, pressure washing, mechanical work, or food service is a plus — but not a requirement. We’ll train the right person.
