Job summary

The Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing & Health Professions at the University of the Incarnate Word invites part-time faculty candidates to teach Kinesiology, Sport Management, and Wellness across undergraduate and graduate courses. This pool will be used to hire for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in a relevant field, at least two years of professional experience, and certification in a related area.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Sport Management, or related field.
• At least two years of relevant professional experience.
• Certification in a relevant area of Kinesiology, Sport Management, or Wellness.
• Ability to teach both in-person and online courses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare course outlines and deliver interactive lectures.
• Prepare and administer meaningful assessments and evaluate student performance.
• Perform administrative duties related to teaching and grading processes.
• Collaborate with department faculty to ensure curriculum outcomes are met.
• Be available outside of class to assist students and answer questions.
• Adhere to UIW Faculty Handbook policies and maintain timely record keeping.
