Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word seeks part-time instructors for clinical and lab instruction across fundamentals, adult and maternal-child health, psychiatric-mental health, medical-surgical nursing, and community health in the undergraduate program.

Faculty uphold the UIW Mission, teach per syllabi, assess students, and support learning both in person and online. Open for 2026-2027 with flexible day/evening/weekend assignments; Texas RN licensure required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• RN license in Texas or eligible to obtain one.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience.
• Teaching experience at baccalaureate level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare course outlines and deliver interactive lectures based on syllabi.
• Create and administer meaningful assessments for courses.
• Perform administrative duties related to teaching and grading.
• Collaborate with faculty to ensure curriculum outcomes are met.
• Be available outside class to support students, including online contact.
