Job summary

Club Fitness in Addison, IL is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to teach children’s swim lessons under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor. Hours vary with program schedules, with up to 19 hours per week.

You will deliver lessons, monitor progress, manage equipment, and uphold safety standards in a chlorinated pool environment. Training is provided, and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications are required or provided on hire.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older. Training provided.
• Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid certified (Park District provided upon hire).
• Enjoys working with children in pool environment.
• Lifeguard certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts swim lessons by providing instruction for proper swim techniques and correcting improper techniques.
• Tracks students' ability level and conducts testing to move to the next level.
• Maintains organization of swim lesson equipment.
• Sets up and puts away all swim equipment before and after the program.
• Adheres to and promotes safety per Park District regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
