Job summary

Byers K9 Services is hiring two Residential Kennel Technicians to care for our working dogs and maintain a clean, organized kennel environment at our Aurora location. This part-time role features a split schedule with roughly two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening.

Ideal candidates are dependable, punctual, and comfortable around large, high-drive breeds such as Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds; training is provided but a willingness to follow procedures and biosecurity

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Comfortable around large, high-energy dogs.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to work morning and evening split shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kennels.
• Clean and disinfect dog crates.
• Wash and sanitize food and water bowls.
• Pick up and properly dispose of dog waste.
• Sanitize kennel floors, walls, and equipment.
• Refill water as directed.
• Monitor dogs for illness or injury and report concerns.
• Keep the kennel clean, organized, and professional.
• Follow established cleaning and biosecurity procedures.
