PART-TIME KARATE INSTRUCTOR – YOUTH SPORTS
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Part-Time Karate Instructor – Youth Sports will lead in teaching the assigned sport(s). The Instructor is responsible for ensuring the safety of the students enrolled in his/her sport, must be knowledgeable about all aspects of coaching multiple age groups and must encourage the highest standards of conduct and scholastic achievement among all athletes. This part-time role may require evening and weekend availability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions. Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in accordance to instruction. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have the ability to instruct and actively observe participants. Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, use hands, stoop, and crouch. Regularly lifts up to 10 – 50 pounds.
