Job summary

Cascade Christian Schools – Frederickson Early Learning Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Part Day K-Prep 3's/4's Teacher Assistant to support classroom learning and daily activities. The role is part-time with morning hours, and candidates should have a CDA/early childhood training and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

The position requires light lifting, 18+ years of age, and CPR/First Aid or equivalent training. Starting Aug 19, 2026, with competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum CDA: AA or BA preferred.
• Department of Early Learning requirement of 30 hours STARS Training.
• CPR and First Aid Training completed.
• Valid TB Test.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prefer 1–2 years of experience in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly lesson plans and parent letters based on the Center’s objectives.
• Maintain a developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Promote educational progression of students to the next level.
• Develop activities meeting group and individual needs.
• Maintain observation records on children.
