Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Forensic Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured cognitive behavioral and/or life-skills group counseling sessions.
  • Document all programmatic activities.
  • Perform administrative duties to facilitate juvenile rehabilitation and maintain a safe environment.
  • Support program staff to ensure services align with best practices and departmental policy.
  • Lead or co-lead groups and participate in PBIS activities; cover afternoons/evenings/holidays/weekends.
  • Conduct rounds daily to identify and address youth needs.
  • Provide evening and weekend coverage for social, emotional, and behavioral needs of youth.
  • Assist with admission and orientation of youth according to policy.
  • Focus on delivering programming to youth; train in additional areas to support FT counselors.
