Job summary

Long Island University (LIU) seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Track and Field Coach (Part-Time) to support the Head Coach and Associate Head Coach in all aspects of the LIU Men's and Women's Track and Field Horizontal and Vertical Jumps programs.

This role involves assisting with jumps practice planning, athlete development, recruitment, and program administration, contributing to a competitive and positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• USATF Level 1 certification required.
• Minimum 2 years coaching experience at high school level or higher.
• Strong knowledge of track and field techniques and trends.
• Ability to work irregular hours, travel, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with head coaches to implement jumping program strategies.
• Plan jumps practices and athlete development plans.
• Assist in recruitment and relationship building with schools.
• Support travel logistics and competition preparation.
• Mentor student-athletes on academic progress.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and LIU policies.
