Job summary

Work Ready Texas in Rockwall is seeking a part-time Job Coach to support high school students with mild to moderate disabilities in community-based placements. You will help students learn job tasks, follow workplace expectations, and build independence.

This role involves on-site supervision at employer sites Thu/Fri 5:00-8:00 and Sat/Sun 1:30-4:30, providing skill reinforcement and professional guidance, and collaborating with staff to tailor supports and accommodations.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Completion of UNT WISE Job Skills Training (online certification).
• Preferred Experience: Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Education, Coaching, Counseling, Mental Health, Social Work, Non-Profit, or other Human Services fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support to students during their work shifts.
• Teach and reinforce job skills needed for workplace success.
• Model appropriate professional behavior and communication.
• Support students in problem-solving and understanding workplace expectations.
• Communicate observations, progress, and concerns to Work Ready staff as needed.
• Assist in developing strategies, accommodations, or prompts to increase independence.
• Represent Work Ready professionally at employer partner locations.
