Job summary

Blue Sky Inc. in Detroit Lakes, MN is seeking a Part-Time Job Coach to support individuals with disabilities in community-based employment. The role involves on-the-job training, coaching, and helping participants build independence during evenings and every other weekend.

You'll work 10–15 hours per week, with a starting wage of $18–$20 per hour depending on experience. The position offers flexible scheduling and meaningful, hands-on work within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.
• Proficient in English (additional languages a plus).
• Comfortable working independently and adapting to new environments.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Must meet state/county licensing and pass background screening.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals at their job sites through hands-on job coaching and skill-building.
• Help participants transfer skills across different work environments.
• Assist in meeting production expectations during the training period.
• Maintain strong communication with employers, families, and team members.
• Collaborate with employers to modify or restructure job tasks when needed.
• Conduct scheduled follow-ups to ensure long-term job success.
• Encourage development of workplace social skills, self-awareness, and confidence.
• Serve as a positive role model in both professional and social settings.
