Job summary

UVA Health’s Heart and Vascular Center in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider for the Interventional Cardiology/Electrophysiology team. You will deliver independent and collaborative patient care in a high-volume, multidisciplinary setting, supporting pre- and post-procedure management.

Experience in cardiology is preferred; licensure includes BLS and ACLS as applicable, with a focus on access, education, and quality improvement within UVA Health's mission.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree.
• Experience: Department and unit specific.
• Licensure: Virginia advanced practice provider license; NP license; BLS; ACLS; PALS/NRP as required; credentialing and licensing per UVA Health system and boards.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent and collaborative care to patients undergoing interventional cardiac procedures.
• Perform comprehensive histories, physicals, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing management of cardiovascular disease.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and adherence to UVA Health standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and program development initiatives.
• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement, research, and educational outreach.
• Mentor and educate students and new staff.
• Advocate for access to health care through community partnerships and systems-based improvement initiatives.
