Job summary

Missouri Botanical Garden is seeking a part-time Interpretive Educator to develop and implement engaging learning experiences for visitors across multiple Garden spaces. You will collaborate with staff to create innovative, interpretive materials and guided experiences for diverse audiences, including families and school groups.

The role requires strong presentation skills, comfort presenting to varied age groups, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in developing and delivering engaging educational opportunities.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills; excellent communication and writing ability.
• Experience researching and developing interpretive programs and experiential learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a wide range of interpretive programming throughout the Garden, including children’s areas and exhibit spaces.
• Engage visitors and provide information to enhance their learning experiences.
• Maintain interpretive displays, props, and materials; monitor safety and accessibility guidelines.
