Job summary

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Department of Internal Medicine in Amarillo is seeking a part-time Hospitalist to deliver inpatient medical care at Northwest Texas Hospital, including admissions and rounds, while coordinating with residents.

Qualifications include MD/DO, Internal Medicine residency, board eligibility or certification, and an active TX medical license; 5+ years inpatient experience is preferred. TTUHSC offers comprehensive benefits and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• Completion of Residency in Internal Medicine.
• Board certified, board eligible, or in process of becoming board eligible.
• Current TX medical license.
• Foreign Medical Graduates: ECFMG Certification or ORE equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Provide Hospitalist Services at Northwest Texas Hospital.
• Perform medical examinations and patient rounds.
• Monitor patient progress and provide education and referrals.
• Complete timely and accurate patient medical records.
• Participate in training and mentoring of medical students and residents.
