Motlow is seeking an Internal Audit Assistant for a part-time role at the Chattanooga State campus. You will support planning, execution, and completion of internal audits, aiming to evaluate internal controls, ensure policy compliance, and promote operational efficiency.

Under the Director of Internal Audit, you will help prepare documentation, assist in audit reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement in governance processes while maintaining confidentiality and professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• At least 2 years of professional auditing experience; up to 2 years in accounting or related field may substitute for 1 year in auditing.
• Preferred: 3+ years of auditing experience in public higher education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, conducting, and completing audits to evaluate the accuracy of financial transactions and processes.
• Review practices for compliance with policies, contractual obligations, and laws.
• Prepare audit working papers and assist in draft audit reports.
