Job summary

The University of North Georgia is seeking a Part-Time Faculty member for Interdisciplinary Studies across our multi-campus system, including Dahlonega. The instructor will guide students in connecting ideas across disciplines, helping them identify pathways aligned with interests, strengths, and career goals.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction across day/evening/online formats, maintaining records, assessing coursework, and providing timely feedback.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Experience teaching online, hybrid, or face-to-face courses at the college or university level.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and support UNG students through effective instructional practices.
• Experience facilitating interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and student-centered discussions.
• Commitment to student success and retention.

Responsibilities

• Employ a variety of effective strategies to enhance student learning, stimulate class discussions, and encourage active participation.
• Maintain accurate course-related records, promptly assess coursework, and provide timely feedback.
• Deliver high-quality instruction in your discipline and advance the university mission.
• Teach and conduct college courses for undergraduate students across modalities.
• Prepare and deliver course instructions using instructional materials.
• Develop, administer, and grade assignments and assessments.
• Submit required academic records such as roll verification forms and final grades.
• Attend meetings as requested.
