Middle Georgia State University seeks a Part Time Instructor for its Doctorate in Public Safety program. This role involves teaching a fully online Geographic Information Systems course, guiding doctoral students, and is set to begin in Spring 2025. Ideal candidates will have a doctoral degree and experience in GIS.

We emphasize career preparation in the behavioral sciences through lifelong learning. The Department offers an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Doctorate in Public Safety.
Job SummaryThis position is a part-time position to teach a course within our Doctorate of Science in Public Safety program, starting Spring 2025 - 2nd session online course. We are seeking applicants qualified to teach SFTY 8010-Geographic Information Systems. It will be a fully online course.

Possibilities to teach other courses, consistent with academic credentials.

Required QualificationsRequired Educational Qualifications
Minimum of a doctoral degree from a regionally-accredited university (or international equivalent) in a field related to Public Safety and/or Geographic Information Systems.
Required Experience
Experience using and/or teaching GIS.
Preferred Experience
Prior online teaching experience.
Prior teaching experience at the doctoral level.
