Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor for the Welding and Manufacturing department in San Diego County. The position involves varied hours and responsibilities tailored to part-time faculty.

Responsibilities include classroom instruction, student evaluation, curriculum development, student advising, and ongoing professional development. Salary range is provided in the Adjunct/Overload schedule, with a Fall 2026 anticipated start.

Competenze

  • A bachelor's degree in any subject and two years of experience in Welding.
  • Or any associate degree in any subject and six years of experience in Welding.

Job Summary

Department: Welding and Manufacturing. FTE: <67% Work hours: Varies based on assignment. Starting Salary Range: $70.84 - $86.11 (Class II, step 1 to Class VI, step 1) based on the Adjunct, Overload and Substitute Salary Schedule. Job Description

SUMMARY Under administrative leadership, it is the responsibility of part time faculty to perform tasks which support advancement of the visions, missions, and values of the colleges and District. Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in any subject and two years of experience in Welding, OR any associate degree in any subject and six years of experience in Welding OR The equivalent.

Working Conditions

Faculty positions may require long periods of standing and walking in a typical classroom setting. Specific conditions may vary by subjects taught.

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District provides an optional part time faculty benefits program, and membership in the State Teachers' Retirement System (STRS) or the Pension Eligible Alternative Retirement (PEAR) Plan.
