Essential Functions of Position
Provide quality instructions, create and maintain an environmentwhich emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages freediscussion of ideas, interests and issues. Primary duties of Part-time faculty members are related to curriculum and teaching; the assignment is divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Part‑time instructional faculty arerequired to be available to students outside of class.
The starting credit part‑time faculty rate from salary table 11 is $102.90 per hour – Lecture and $82.33 per hour – Lab. If you have a doctorate, the rate is $107.87 per hour – Lecture and $86.30 per hour – Lab.
Under the general supervision of the Dean of Physical Education andwork direction of the Director of Athletics, the Head Men's TennisCoach provides comprehensive leadership over the Men's Tennis teamin terms of California Community College Athletic Association(CCCAA) compliance, recruiting, ensuring academic progress towarddegree, as well as all other aspects of the intercollegiate sportprogram for golf, including, but not limited to: planning andexecuting practice, training, and supervising student-athletes;scheduling athletic contests and arranging transportation;preparing budgets; maintaining athletic equipment, supplies andfacilities; and enforcing district, college, and studentrequirements. Coaching assignments may include day, evening, andweekend classes, on and off campus responsibilities.
