We invite applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in‑person courses in Photography/Cinematography. Applications will be considered on an as‑needed basis determined by course availability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in photography, film production, or a closely related field.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must live in or be able to commute to the Las Vegas/Henderson, NV area for in-person classes.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in photography/cinematography in accordance with established course objectives and departmental standards.
• Prepare and deliver engaging instruction that promotes student learning and academic success.
• Develop and maintain course materials, assignments, assessments, and grading criteria as appropriate.
• Utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems to support teaching and communication.
• Collaborate with department faculty and staff as needed to support program and student success.

Position Title

Part Time Instructor – Photography/Cinematography

Job Summary

Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as‑needed basis by the department to fulfill part‑time temporary instructional needs. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

We invite applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in‑person courses in Photography/Cinematography. Applications will be considered on an as‑needed basis determined by course availability. Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,160 per credit hour. Courses are three credits apiece.
