Yosemite Community College District seeks a Part-Time Instructor for the Nurse Assistant program at Modesto Junior College. Salary Range / Other:The Hourly Range: $71.89 to 114.93
Doctorate Range: $84.71 to 117.95
(2024-2025 Certified Part-time Instructor/Overload Hourly Salary Schedule)
Part Time Faculty office Hours are paid at a flat rate of $30 per hour.
Not Eligible for Benefits:
With the exception of Workers’ Compensation coverage, not eligible to participate in the District’s benefit programs.
Under supervision of the Dean of Health Professions and teach Nurse Assistant students in clinical, Skills Lab and Human Simulation Lab environments in accordance with course descriptions, outlines and class schedules; evaluate progress of students, advise students concerning educational matters, and participate in activities that strengthen student success. The Nurse Assistant Clinical Instructor may not have any other responsibilities while supervising the clinical training.
The successful candidate will join a Nurse Assistant department that continues to create curriculum responsive to student needs, increasing student completion through the implementation of strategies geared to increase student equity.
Applicants may be any licensed vocational nurse or registered nurse with no less than two years of nursing experience, of which no less than one year is in providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting.
Two (2) years of full-time experience as a licensed nurse, at least one (1)year of which must be in the provision of direct patient care in a nursing facility. Within six (6) months of employment and prior to teaching a certification program, the licensed nurse shall obtain a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education courses in planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs in nursing. These must be courses approved by the Board of Registered Nursing or courses administered by an accredited educational institution. A transcript of successfully completed course(s) shall be sent to the CDPH and shall be used as a basis for approval of the qualifications of the instructor.
