Ball State University is seeking part-time instructors to teach online and/or on-campus courses in journalism and strategic communication starting January 2027. Courses may include advertising, journalism, media analytics, AI, public relations, sports PR, design and photojournalism at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Required qualifications include a master’s degree in a related field or a bachelor’s with strong professional experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in advertising, journalism, public relations, sports administration, mass communications, or a related field by the date of appointment.
• OR a Bachelor's Degree with evidence of high level of professional proficiency and expertise in the taught fields by the date of appointment.
• Evidence may include portfolio/resume with 5+ years' experience, leadership experience, professional licenses, awards, or peer‑reviewed activities.

Responsabilités

• Teach online and/or on-campus, undergraduate and/or graduate courses beginning Spring 2027 in the specified disciplines.
• Prepare and deliver engaging lectures and course materials for online and on-campus formats.

Formation

Master's degree in advertising, journalism, public relations, sports administration, mass communications, or related field

Bachelor's Degree with evidence of professional proficiency and expertise in advertising, journalism, public relations, sports public relations, mass communications, or related field
