Full Sail University is seeking a part-time instructor for the New Media Journalism Master of Arts program, based in Florida. Courses will be taught both on-campus and online, with a maximum of 20 hours per week.

The role requires residence in Florida and a strong commitment to student success in a dynamic media environment. Ideal candidates hold a terminal degree with graduate coursework in journalism, publishing, or communications, and have teaching experience and a passion for education.

Qualifications

Terminal degree, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Journalism, Publishing, Communications or related field from an accredited college or university.
Teaching experience is preferred and the candidate must have a passion for education.

Responsibilities

Create an environment of learning through effective teaching skills, maintain student-centered focus, and stay current with industry standards.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and encourage active learning.
Perform lectures for campus courses, and hold scheduled virtual course meetings for online courses. Teaching will be conducted through on-campus and online delivery.
Interact positively with diverse student populations; provide all students with equal opportunities for learning.
Demonstrate a commitment to the industry, maintain knowledge and skill relevancy through continuing education as defined in the faculty development plan.
