Job summary

CSN is seeking part-time History instructors to teach college-level courses, primarily on-ground, with potential online opportunities, across Clark County campuses.

Assignments typically include introductory History courses; instructors may be assigned to other program courses to meet departmental needs.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) with at least 18 graduate credits in History from a regionally accredited university.

Qualifications

• Preference for Ph.D. and ability to teach across multiple programs.

CSN is seeking part-time instructors to teach History courses, primarily in an on-ground format, with potential opportunities for online instruction. Teaching assignments will generally include introductory-level History courses, although instructors may be assigned to other program courses based on departmental needs.

Core Responsibilities

• Teach college-level courses in the field.


• Develop syllabi and course materials.


• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.


• Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.


• Teach at multiple campuses in Clark County.


• Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekend courses.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) from a regionally accredited college or university with at least 18 graduate credits in the subject being taught, also from a regionally accredited college or university.

Salary

$925.00 per credit hour. Courses/Credits assigned may vary by semester.
