Job summary

The College of Central Florida is seeking qualified candidates to join our EMS education program as a paramedic instructor. This open continuous applicant pool handles instructional needs on an as-needed basis, emphasizing high-quality teaching and student engagement.

Qualified applicants will hold active paramedic certification in Florida, with prior instructional experience and strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

• Current experience as paramedic for paramedic or EMT instruction.
• Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience as a paramedic for paramedic instruction, or a paramedic with three(3) years of experience as an EMT or paramedic for EMT instruction (experience as EMT and PM can be combined).
• Currently BLS and ACLS Certified for paramedic instruction, or current BLS Certified for EMT instruction.
• AS Degree Preferred.

• Commitment to the college objective of providing instruction for a diverse student population. Excellent interpersonal, oral communication and writing skills. Knowledge of learning and assessment theories and methods and the relationship to the pedagogy of teaching. Possess a high level of technical skills and subject matter knowledge as it relates to a specific discipline. Evidence of initiative, resourcefulness and adaptability.
