Qualifications

• One of the following: Valid California Community College instructor credential issued before July 1, 1990.
• Master’s degree in child development, early childhood education, human development, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in the above areas plus a Master’s in social work, educational supervision, elementary education, special education, psychology, or a related field.
• Combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.
• Evidence of sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds and ability to manage classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with curriculum and course outlines.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethical standards.
• Keep current knowledge of subject matter.
• Teach all scheduled classes.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Fulfill all professional responsibilities of a part‑time faculty member.
