Job summary

College of Southern Nevada seeks an educator to teach communication courses, focusing on public speaking and related research skills. You will evaluate student performances, administer exams, and manage CANVAS postings across campus sites.

You will submit course and assessment materials each term, including syllabi, exams, gradebooks, attendance, and rosters. In-person teaching across multiple CSN campuses is expected.

The individual will be primarily responsible for teaching communication courses for College of Southern Nevada.

Core Responsibilities

• Teach public speaking course content.
• Evaluate student performances.
• Administer department exams.
• Post information to Learning Management Software (CANVAS).
• Complete assessment assignments.
• Teach research skills, outline writing and oral communication skills.
• Submit semester documents including, but not limited to, syllabus, exams, gradebooks, attendance, and participation rosters.
• Willingness to teach courses in-person at multiple campus locations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication Studies.
• Experience teaching public speaking.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years’ or more of experience teaching public speaking.
