Part-Time Instructor (Africana Studies) at Valdosta State University. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate's area of expertise.

This position involves teaching courses which may be partially at a distance, hybrid, or face-to-face. Responsibilities include preparing course materials; delivering instruction; effectively communicating with students; supporting student learning; maintaining detailed records of grades and student attendance; and modeling professional decorum.
Master's degree in a discipline supported by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (including graduate courses in African American Studies or related areas such as Africana Studies). Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting. A record of mentoring students.
Proposed Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Supervisory positions require training in FMLA and Workers’ Compensation.
