Job summary

The paraeducator, under the direction of the principal, supports student learning and well-being by facilitating mastery of grade-level or above curriculum in general education classrooms at Stedwick Elementary School, Montgomery Village. This part-time position is Grade 13-14 with a wage range of $24.38 to $36.67 per hour.

Candidates must meet ESSA Title I qualifications: a high school diploma and one of the following: an associate degree or 48 college credits, or a passing ParaPro exam;

Qualifications

• ESSA Title I position requirements apply; must meet qualification standards.
• High school diploma required and one of: assoc. degree/48 credits or ParaPro exam.
• Ability to implement instructional programming and monitor student behavior.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and classroom management in general education settings.
• Support planned instructional activities during teacher absences.
• Perform related clerical tasks to aid teachers and staff.
