New Highland Elementary School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky seeks an Instructional Assistant I to support a certificated teacher with instruction to individuals or small groups and to monitor student progress. This is a part-time role for 183 days per school year, working 3.125 hours per day, starting immediately.

The position requires basic knowledge of classroom practices, ability to assist with tests and records, and reliable attendance.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; progress toward GED as required by Kentucky law.
• Two years of study at an institution of higher education; associate degree or equivalent; or meet rigorous standard demonstrating reading, writing, and math instructional ability.

Responsabilidades

• Administer first aid and medications according to policies.
• Tutor students in small groups and monitor progress.
• Assist teacher with lesson preparation and tests; determine English proficiency as needed.
• Maintain attendance and classroom records; monitor student behavior.
• Assist in labs, distribute supplies, and supervise activities as directed.
