Job summary

Educational Services Commission of New Jersey is seeking a Part Time Instructional Aide for the Piscataway Regional Day School. The position runs ten months, with hours 8:45am-11:45am or 11:45am-2:45pm, Monday through Friday.

Start date is immediate, pending background and medical clearance. Responsibilities include assisting teachers, supporting students with projects, and maintaining a safe classroom environment in a public school setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child growth and development; ability to assist with instructional activities in all academic areas
• Good communication skills: verbal, written and listening to follow procedures as per student IEPs
• Knowledge of diverse needs of children with disabilities and appropriate intervention practices

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a school atmosphere that promotes positive psychosocial development and learning
• Support classroom teacher with instruction and student supervision
• Attend trainings and meetings as required
• Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and safety procedures
