Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Part-time Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to support the South Austin location with occasional coverage for the Lakeway site. The role involves three 8-hour days per week, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience. Responsibilities include administering therapies, venipuncture, documentation, and patient education while adhering to compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program, RN state license in practicing state.
• 0-3 years nursing experience for Level 1; 3-5 years for Level 2; five years for Level Sr.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care according to established standards.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials.
• Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision, ensuring proper dosage, route, and timing.
• Ensure pre-authorization and consent forms are obtained where applicable.
• Facilitate dose modification by reviewing labs, protocol, and communication with physician.
• Perform venipuncture, access ports, and maintain central lines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and treatments.
• Understand reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
