Job Description and Requirements

The Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg, School of Business Administration, Technology Department seeks part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses for the Fall 2025 Semester and beyond. These are one-semester, non-tenure track positions with reappointment potential.

Job Duties

Part-time instructors typically teach 1-3 courses per semester related to undergraduate Information Systems. Responsibilities include preparing lessons, evaluating students, holding office hours, and becoming proficient with Canvas, the university's learning management system.

• Application Development: Java, Python, PHP (web, database, mobile apps); Courses: IST 140, IST 242, IST 256, IST 311, IST 411, ETI 461, HCDD 340
• Analyst / Integrator (Business and Data): Data analysis, process interpretation, performance improvement (SAP a plus); Courses: IST 420, IST 421
• Database: Design, SQL, optimization, data cleaning; Courses: IST 210, ETI 461, ETI 463
• Enterprise Analytics & Web Stacks: Big data, cloud platforms; Courses: ETI 300W, ETI 435
• Human Computer Interaction - UX/UI: User research, wireframes, prototypes; Courses: HCDD 113, HCDD 246, HCDD 364W
• Management Information Systems: Data management, Excel; Courses: MIS 250, MIS 390

Qualifications

• Required: Master's in Information Systems, Database, or related field
