The Schnitzer Family Campus - Mittleman Jewish Community Center & Portland Jewish Academy is seeking a Part Time Infant & Toddler Classroom Floater to provide safe, nurturing care in PJA's Preschool program. The Floater works about 27.5 hours weekly, Monday–Friday 9 AM–3 PM with a half-hour lunch, and earns $25.50–$25.97 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in infant/toddler care in a state-licensed setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect, and Food Handler’s certifications required; enrollment in Oregon Central Background Registry.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Lead and participate in play activities and monitor children for safety.
• Provide direct personal care including diapering, toileting, and meals following hygiene standards.
• Observe and report on child progress to families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Compile required written reports and participate in staff trainings and meetings.
