Job summary

Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant for the Head Start program in Marshfield, MO. The role supports three Early Head Start classrooms, delivering responsive care and developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers.

The position is part-time (15 hours/week), with a few afternoons per day, and requires a HS diploma or GED along with experience with infants/toddlers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six college credit hours or Infant/Toddler CDA required.
• Experience working with infants and toddlers required.
• Willingness to obtain Early Childhood Development Specialization Certification through Ozarks Tech (paid for by employer).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support daily classroom operations in three Early Head Start classrooms.
• Assist with providing responsive care and supervision to infants and toddlers.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Support implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and routines.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
• Promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
