Job summary

Countryside YMCA in Lebanon, OH is seeking a Part-Time Infant Teacher to care for babies and support early development in a nurturing classroom setting.

You'll work with a team to create safe, engaging daily experiences, communicate with families, and follow CACFP and safety procedures. A high school diploma and childcare experience are preferred, with First Aid/CPR preferred or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous infant/childcare experience preferred; one year is a plus.
• Must complete background checks and meet Ohio childcare requirements.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.
• Ability to communicate with families and coworkers.
• Ability to lift and assist with infant care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with infants through responsive care and age-appropriate play.
• Support development with movement, sensory exploration, communication, and social interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan engaging daily infant experiences reflecting individual needs.
• Provide supervision, feeding, diapering, dressing, and rest support.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and CACFP procedures and licensing requirements.
• Document daily care and observations for families and records.
